The result of that experience was that after I felt better for the most part but my inability to walk up the stairs had progressed to an inability to walk across a flat floor, I found myself telling my district leader how pathetic I felt because I was afraid that our only investigator in Branch 10 that seems to have any hope of progressing had moved to Branch 6 but I didn't know how much that mattered because when she goes to church she goes to Branch 3 with her granddaughter anyway because of her work schedule so apparently I was (inadvertently) working in all three areas (again) but at that very moment I couldn't even walk across the room. Does the term cosmic irony apply? Chi Vy and I are supposed to work primarily in Branch 10 and just go to Branch 3 when the four elders there need sisters to teach someone, but I have no one going to Branch 10, two going to Branch 3, and this week we got return appointments with two new potential investigators in Branch 3 without even trying! One of them just showed up at church and wants us to teach her so she can be baptized! It was all her idea!
I have since checked a map and I think our investigator didn't quite cross the boundary into Branch 6 after all. YAY! But we still have four people going to Branch 3 and no one going to Branch 10.
The bottom line is everyone wants to go to Branch 3 and Branch 10 gives people diseases. (Really. Anh ca Sang, Anh ca Hoa Minh, Chi Ly, Chi Dao, and I have all gotten sick in Branch 10, most of us at least twice. Anh ca Canh and Anh ca Nam, the current Branch 10 elders, were both mildly ill this week as well, along with one of the Khmer elders they live with. But as long as the Viet zone doesn't do what we did for New Year's and all get sick at once, we'll be fine.)
I have recovered.
I love this mission so much!
