My father asked about anything new with finding. Funny you should ask... This week our zone started a new project. We have about 1600 individuals for whom we have names, birth dates, baptism and confirmation dates, and...that's about it. Sometimes they have family members. Typically we have no information regarding their whereabouts. If the record contains a note that says even "went to Australia," we rejoice because we have information to go off of. Sometimes all we have is "not in Burma" -- no joke. We've had that twice. Yes, we have started the daunting task of attempting to find these people. There are fourteen Vietnamese-speaking missionaries in Phnom Penh, Cambodia that are trying to find as many of these 1600 lost sheep as we can in two weeks (well, 1599 because one of the records turned out to be my companion last transfer). If we have current investigators, we're still teaching and teaching in the branches, but all of our finding efforts are focused on this project right now. Why? I don't have time to explain. Sorry. Please pray for us and pray that Vietnam will open...pray really hard for the next two or three weeks.
P.S. PRAY! PLEASE!
