We still haven't found our investigators, but we have met with some less actives. The elders have been extremely kind, but Anh ca Hoa Minh keeps apologizing that they can't help more. He is just getting over some crazy fever thing and if he does much of anything he gets totally exhausted and sick all over again. He biked to church yesterday and it was all he could do to get through Sacrament meeting. To make matters worse, before church started the Relief Society president came in and said that the branch president had forgotten to ask members to speak. By default, Anh ca Hoa Minh and I were the speakers for the meeting. It was fine because I was too busy worrying about Anh ca Hoa Minh to be afraid of winging a talk in Vietnamese. I spoke about scripture study, and Chi Truong said it was good, so I must have been at least mostly intelligible. Then Anh ca Sang took Anh ca Hoa Minh home, and Chi Truong and I had to handle our first branch council meeting in this branch without them. We survived, but that is all I will say about it. Anh ca Hoa Minh is doing fine now by the way, so don't worry.
I think I will really like serving in Branch 10. It reminds me of the Worcester 2nd Ward in some ways. I miss Branch 3 because Chu Tich Lam, Em Long, Em Tho, Em Hang, Anh Teo, Em Tuan, Co Kim, Ba Xum...(everybody, basically) were all so much fun, but the transition has been really good because Chi Truong is such a fun companion and the elders are awesome. The other day - I don't remember in what context - I mentioned something about us being a bright, flowery bunch (Anh ca Sang, Anh ca Hoa Minh, Chi Hoa, and Em My Hoa; for those who don't speak VIetnamese, Sang means light and Hoa means flower...although not everyone has the exact same tones, but it's close enough that even native speakers laugh about us having the same name). All four of us really love to have fun, and I am certain that we will be having an awesome time in Branch 10 this transfer.
